Join the National Trust and the Commons for Trees to find out more about growing plants and trees to restore the wider landscape of the Hope Valley and High Peak.
What to expect?
Find out about the community tree growing project in the Hope Valley and High Peak, supported by the National Trust.
Get up close with the project’s first community-led nursery - hosted at 10 Trees - and find out about other growing sites which will be popping up over the next couple of years.
Find out more about the Commons for Trees, a space for people who care for trees to connect and exchange with each other, and meet other people who care for nature.
Get hands-on in the community tree nursery: if the alder seedlings are ready, we’ll be pricking them out and potting them on together – a great way to learn and share skills.
Help build an inventory of tree species in the garden: there are more than 10 trees at 10 Trees!
(Optional) Take part in a short, inspirational video about the project. If you’re happy to take part, we’d love to capture a few words or reflections, but there’s absolutely no pressure.
Who is this for?
Whether you’re completely new to tree growing and planting, or already involved in the local community growing project, this gathering will be a chance to connect, share ideas, and be part of growing something together.
