As 10 Trees steps into its first full year in community, our sister social enterprise, Open House, is celebrating its two-year anniversary. We’re inviting everyone who has helped shape the garden so far to join us for complimentary coffee and cake on Valentine’s Day.

Tomorrow, 21 December, marks the winter solstice. The garden has been quiet and still these last few dark months. Many of us are tempted to do the same at this busy time of year - should we feel bad about that?

We had a great conversation about trees with people across the valley earlier this month. There was energy for coming together as a constellation of communities to plant more trees. 

When the National Trust approached us a few weeks ago to talk about how communities in the High peak and Hope Valley might help grow trees and other plants for wild spaces across the Peak District, we spotted an opportunity to give back to nature. 

This month we’re celebrating everything that 10 Trees has become this year by putting on a tasting table of opportunities for us all to grow, gather and practise wholebeing, together in the garden. 

Since April, we've been quietly gardening - now we're thrilled to be opening the garden gates. We’re inviting you to help us co-create this new garden in community, for community.
