Pick & Pickle Club


Our much-loved preserving and making club is moving to the garden for a six-week summer series!

We’ll tend the garden, forage and create beautiful things made from nature, together - bringing what we have from home and sharing what we can.

  • Tuesday 5th May - Garden tinctures

  • Tuesday 12th May - No cook quick pickles

  • Tuesday 19th May - Tonics and teas

  • Tuesday 26th May - No club

  • Tuesday 2nd June - Herbal cordials and syrups

  • Tuesday 9th June - Foraged daily cleaning

  • Tuesday 16th June - Cold-infused herbal oils

A flask of garden tea will be on offer to warm our cockles, too.

About this event:

  • Date - 5.45-7.45pm

  • Price - This is a free event.

  • Location - 10 Trees garden.

  • Equipment - Please bring your own making projects and materials - plus some to share if you can. See more information on what to bring for each meetup below. Also bring gloves, sturdy shoes and clothes for all weathers, come rain or shine. Our shelter is a tarp and our wee spot is in the wild wood.

  • Booking - Limited to 12 spots, to book your spot please click below.

  • What to bring: bring and share your favourite tincture recipe and the ingredients to make it, including the vodka - and of course some sterilised jars. We’ll be foraging ingredients from the garden too. You’ll also need a knife, chopping board and muslin. We will be making a plantain tincture for hay fever season - but what you make is up to you!

  • What to bring: bring and share your favourite quick pickle recipe and the ingredients to make it - and of course some sterilised jars. We’ll be foraging ingredients from the garden too. You’ll also need a knife, chopping board and muslin. Thinly sliced onions, cucumbers, radishes, carrots, or green beans work really well for no-cook quick pickles, but what you bring is up to you!

  • What to bring: bring and share your favourite recipe for a tonic or tea made from foraged ingredients in abundance at this time of year, and the ingredients to make it - as well as some sterilised bottles or jars. You’ll also need a knife, chopping board and muslin. We love lemon balm and goosegrass tonic.

  • What to bring: bring and share your favourite recipe for a herbal cordial or syrup and the ingredients to make it - as well as some pre-sterilised bottles or jars. We’ll be foraging ingredients from the garden too. You’ll also need a knife, chopping board and muslin. We absolutely loved nettle and goosegrass cordial - we’ll be making something similar.

  • What to bring: Bring and share your favourite recipe for home-made cleaning products and the ingredients to make it - and of course some clean bottles, sprays or jars. We’ll be foraging ingredients from the garden too. You’ll also need a knife, chopping board and muslin. We’ll be using pine as a key ingredient - but what you make is up to you!

We’ll be foraging ingredients from the garden too. You’ll also need a knife and chopping board. We will be making a dandelion tincture for muscle aches - but what you make is up to you!
