Commons for Trees: National Trust Walk to Cranberry Clough.

Join the National Trust for a walk to Cranberry Clough, to explore a special place where community-grown trees from the 10 Trees community tree nursery and elsewhere could be planted.

As part of the local National Trust project that is supporting local people to grow trees and plants for nature recovery in the Peak District, we’re heading out on a walk to Cranberry Clough - an interesting site where future community-grown trees could be planted and where wider plans to enhance nature and biodiversity are being planned. We will walk out to a vantage point to have a look at it!

The walk is around 3.75 miles (there and back) with 240m of elevation. It includes some rough ground and a short stream crossing, so please come prepared for uneven terrain.

Please note that the walk will be subject to weather conditions. The nearest facilities are at Fairholmes car park.

If you're interested in the community growing project and how it connects to nature restoration in the Peak District, join in with the walk, or contact Jayne Rotherham (details below).
