Natural Dyes with Dee Sayce.

Join experienced local textile artist Dee Sayce to learn the basics of natural dyeing and build the confidence and knowledge to continue dyeing independently.

You’ll have a go at naturally dyeing yarn and fabric in heated dye baths, and using mordants, including alum and iron, to add variations and help keep the dye fast.

You will dye a tote bag, scarf or piece of fabric and produce a colourful sample swatch to keep as a record and use for future reference.
